Inflammation is the root cause of many modern diseases such as autoimmune, diabetes, obesity, thyroid, and heart disease. Acute inflammation is caused by many factors including- diet, infection by virus, bacteria, parasites, STRESS, food sensitivities, poor liver function, toxins, injury, and trauma. When inflammation is poorly managed, the body stays in an inflammatory state, a state of dis-ease. No condition can be effectively treated until the underlying inflammation is addressed. Our wellness clinic specializes in working with the body to address that inflammation. We do this by taking a comprehensive initial intake consult to identify where the inflammation is pooling or most present. Based on this evidence we begin to form your health program. We pinpoint dietary patterns and lifestyle habits that are impacting your body’s ability to self-modulate inflammation. Once all of these factors are identified, we then map a Functional Health Program targetting 5 key areas of health: Diet, Nutrition, Detoxification, Hormones, and Exercise. Supplements may include a combination of plant medicines, dietary supplements, probiotics, and medicinal mushrooms. We firmly believe that diet plays a major role in how the body responds to inflammation and so culinary medicine is both integral and serves as an educational experience for our clients. Environmental factors are discussed at each follow-up visit, with emphasis on exercise and body movement strategies. Together we will establish health goals and you will have a very clear outline of your treatment plan (protocol) and the 3 steps you’ll take each month to reach your health goals.
